A warm welcome to the website of the Permanent Representation of the Netherlands to the United Nations and other International Organisations in Geneva, one of the Netherlands’ most active multilateral posts. On this site you will find information on who we are and what we do, as well as background information on the Netherlands, its policies and its UN involvement. The website also contains a frequently updated record of speeches and useful links to the larger community dealing with the United Nations and other international organisations in Geneva and beyond.

The Permanent Representation’s main task is to represent the Dutch government in Geneva. Our work covers a wide range of issues from the respect for human rights to the promotion of free trade, from providing humanitarian assistance to good governance and United Nations reforms, from HIV/AIDS prevention to discussions on intellectual property and climate change. We handle all dealings and communications with the United Nations and other international organisations in Geneva, as well as with the many countries that also maintain permanent representations in Geneva.
